The NTR 116 is a new generation Newspaper blanket, designed specifically for modern highspeed presses.
The newly formulated surface compound is characterized by outstanding physical and chemical properties that increase its excellent resistance to inks and washing solutions, while providing excellent ink transfer and sheet release, combined with outstanding compression set and rebound characteristics.The reinforced carcass is manufactured from only the highest quality long staple cotton yarns, woven to our rigorous specifications providing excellent mechanical properties. The back ply is sealed for enhanced protection against penetration of inks and damping solutions. The NTR 116 incorporates our proprietary “Pressurized Sinkless Technology”, to improve speed of recovery and smash resistance. The precision buffing of the compressible layer eliminates variations of compressibility.
The NTR116 is most suitable for use on newspaper presses and is the ultimate development in the field of compressible layer blankets. The new face formulation with its hydrophilic top surface keeps the blanket lubricated to maximize the lifetime of CTP plates, and reduces the build-up of ink and paper.
Both specially designed durable carcasses feature longer blanket life, less down time and better printing quality on press. The NTR 116 truly meet the rigorous demands of a typical modern newspaper pressroom. The back ply is sealed for enhanced protection against penetration of inks and damping solutions.
